The Executive Council of the Minnesota AFL-CIO is meeting June 7 and 8 to elect a successor to president Bernard Brommer, who is retiring Aug. 1. Current Secretary-Treasurer Ray Waldron is a candidate. If Waldron is selected, another election will be held immediately afterward to choose a new secretary-treasurer, Brommer said.
