On Monday, flanked by advocates and supporters, Gov. Tim Walz held a signing ceremony for bipartisan provisions of H.F. 2, the Omnibus Jobs and Economic Development budget, creating the strongest protections against wage theft in the country.

Home Care Workers organized by SEIU Healthcare Minnesota are currently bargaining their third contract. 
 
As they bargain with the state of Minnesota, they are  pushing for a minimum wage of at least $15, more training for the workers and other provisions that will help address the “care crisis.”

VIDEO: $15 Passes in St. Paul

On Wednesday the St. Paul City Council passed an ordinance that will raise the minimum wage to $15 over the coming years. It was later signed by Mayor Melvin Carter.
