The program starts at 7 p.m. in the Macalester College Chapel, 1600 Grand Ave., St. Paul.

Mitchell\'s book, "Big Box Swindle," examines the effect of "Big Box" retailers such as Wal-Mart on small business. Mitchell will make a presentation from 7 to 8 p.m., followed by a reception and book signing until 9:30 p.m.

Cost is $5 for members of the Metro Independent Business Alliance and $7 for the public. The event is sponsored by the Metro Independent Business Alliance and United Food & Commercial Workers Local 789.
