In Dirty Pretty Things, filmmaker Stephen Frears tells the story of an undocumented African immigrant doctor working a service job in a London hotel, who fights to put an end to the gruesome trade in human organs. This award-winning thriller which exposes a side of the global economy that most people never see—as well as the dynamics between native-born and immigrant workers that union members face here and abroad.
