Hennepin County workers will rally Monday, Nov. 14, to demand a fair contract. The rally will be at noon on the plaza outside the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S. 6th St., downtown Minneapolis.
"We got zero in '03 and zero in '04 -- we'll take zeroes no more!" the six AFSCME locals that represent Hennepin County workers said in announcing the rally.
Some 4,000 AFSCME members are gearing up for the final push in their contract talks with the county, which began in July. AFSCME is asking friends and supporters to join the rally to show solidarity with Hennepin County workers.
