The meeting will start at 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 21, in Suite 356 of the Minneapolis Labor Center, 312 Central Ave., Minneapolis.
“Janitors in SEIU Local 26 have just entered into bargaining with their employers to win a new contract,” the union said. “Many of you have stood with members of our local in previous campaigns, and we wanted to send an update on bargaining and ask for your solidarity again in this contract fight.”
Members are concerned that employers are seeking a number of concessions, including reducing full-time jobs to part-time employment and eliminating workload protections.
