Iron Range unions will hold a “Day Before Labor Day Picnic” Sunday, Sept. 5, from noon to 5 p.m. at Olcott Park in Virginia.

Here are the activities scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6, Labor Day, in Minnesota:

East Central Area Labor Council Picnic
Noon to 4 p.m.
Baxter City Park, Baxter
Free Food, door prizes and games for the kids.

Solidarity Day 2010 Labor Day Picnic
Noon to 4 p.m.
Riverside Park, St. Cloud
Single ticket $3; family ticket $5.

Northeast Area Labor Council Annual Labor Day Picnic
Noon to 4 p.m.
Bayfront Park, Duluth

St. Paul Regional Labor Federation Parade
2 p.m. at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds
Gather at 1:30 p.m. at the parking lot on Como Ave, west of Snelling and south of fairgrounds.
Free Minnesota State Fair admission tickets will also be distributed to marchers at the parade line-up, but marchers must RSVP to assure themselves of a ticket. To RSVP or for more information, contact Lynne Larkin-Wright at 651-222-3787, ext. 16.

Annual Keith Ellison Labor Day BBQ
1 to 3 p.m.
