More than 800 people turned out for the contract vote Sept. 28 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The “inside wireman” agreement covers 2,700 workers and more than 60 NECA contractors performing residential, commercial and industrial electrical work.
The contract includes some language changes but no wage increases, the union said. The pact covers the working years of 2011 and 2012, which means negotiations will begin again early next year.
