Members of AFSCME Local 9 will rally for a fair contract Friday, April 21, at 11:45 a.m. on the Federal Courthouse Plaza (across from City Hall) in downtown Minneapolis.

The General Unit of AFSCME Local 9 - City of Minneapolis, representing over 750 members, voted March 29 to reject the tentative agreement reached between the union's negotiations team and the City of Minneapolis. The Local now enters into a 45-day period of mediation before an intent to strike may be filed.

The rally will be held just before the negotiations team begins its first mediation session Friday afternoon.
