Minnesota AFL-CIO to hold 50th constitutional convention

AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler will give the keynote address. The delegates will also hear from some Minnesota AFL-CIO endorsed candidates, including Tarryl Clark, candidate in the Sixth Congressional District, Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, State Auditor Rebecca Otto, and gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton.

U.S. Senators Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar also are scheduled to speak.

Other events include the Convention COPE event, coordinated by the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation, to be held at the Minnesota Twins Ballpark on Sunday evening, Sept. 26, and a lunch and book signing with former AFL-CIO officer Stewart Acuff.
