Minnesotan authors new book on reviving the strike

Burns, a labor negotiator and attorney, is the former president of AFSCME Local 1164.

“I have read the book and can say that it has the potential of having a huge impact on the labor movement,” said Phyllis Walker, president of AFSCME Local 3800.

Larry Cohen, president of the Communication Workers of America, calls the Burns book “an effective and provocative historical approach to a complex problem: How do working Americans and their unions reverse the decline in living standards and employment security in the global economy?”
