Minnesota's art-makers for the labor movement, the Northland Poster Collective, will celebrate 25 years of arts activism with a cabaret concert Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Cedar Cultural Center, 416 Cedar Ave. So., Minneapolis. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Co-sponsored by KFAI Community Radio, "Northland's Justice Jamboree!" will feature song, dance, theater, and spoken word in a wide range of styles along with several surprises and a display of Northland's visual art.
Northland has been a widely recognized partner in the national labor movement for many years, supplying art on labor struggles and history as well as producing union-made organizing materials and coining or popularizing some of the union movement?s most popular slogans.
