A little snow did not deter volunteers from participating in “Operation Donation,” a 48-hour effort to help the community sponsored by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Members of both unions collected toys, clothing, nonperishable food and cash donations for the Salvation Army. In addition, the Red Cross held two blood drives, each exceeding its goal. Several union leaders and elected officials visited the donation site near Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. |
