Starting with a rally Saturday in Owatonna, supporters of immigrant rights will hold a number of rallies and forums in coming weeks to discuss the contributions of immigrants to Minnesota and to counter anti-immigration proposals in the Legislature and U.S. Congress.

March 11 Rally in Owatonna

March 12 Civil Rights for Immigrants
12:30 pm - 2:30 p.m., First Universalist Church, Minneapolis. An education and action forum sponsored by the First Universalist and St. Joan of Arc Core Teams of ISAIAH.
March 12 Immigration Forum in St. Cloud
1:30 - 3 p.m., St. Joseph's Church in Waite Park. Guests include state representatives and senators, representatives from U.S. Senators Norm Coleman and Mark Dayton's offices, and the St. Cloud Police Chief.
March 12 Assembly of Hope and Equity
2:30 p.m., St. Luke's Church (Lexington and Summit, St. Paul) People of faith will meet and take action against anti-immigrant attacks in the community, state and country. Hosted by the Civil Rights for Immigrants caucus of ISAIAH.
March 14 U.S. Immigration Policy: Are There Alternatives?
7 p.m., Central Presbyterian Church 500 Cedar Street, Saint Paul. Mayor Chris Coleman, Mexican Consul Nathan Wolf to speak. Sponsored by the Foundation for Immigrant Resources and Education and Central Presbyterian Church.
March 22 Student Day at the Capitol ? focus on the Minnesota Dream Act
