“This agreement has unanimous committee recommendation,” Local 1189 announced on its website. “The agreement reached today extends the existing contract until April 6, 2013, pending ratification by the membership. All terms and conditions under the existing agreement remain in effect until April 6, 2013.”

The union said informational and ratification meetings will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at each work location as well as the Local 1189 hall. Details of the voting times and more information about the tentative agreement will be announced, the union said.
