Contract talks will resume Aug. 29, 30 and 31 between Transit Workers Local 1005 and Metro Transit.
"We're still communicating and progress is being made," Local 1005 President Ron Lloyd said after three days of bargaining earlier in August. "I have good hopes. Otherwise, I can't say much."
The contract covers roughly 2,150 bus drivers, light-rail operators, mechanics and other Metro Transit workers, plus about 550 retirees. The previous contract expired July 31.
