Unions plan to protest McCain appearance

Union members will gather from 7 to 8 a.m. outside J & L Steel Erectors, where McCain will hold a town hall meeting for women later Friday morning. J & L is located at 2365 Willis Miller Drive in Hudson.

"John McCain plans on telling women that his economic plan will be beneficial for them and working families," organizers of the anti-McCain rally said. "We can either turn around America and support a candidate for president like Barack Obama who will support working families. Or we can let the powerful special interests help elect John McCain, which would result in the same policies of the last 7 ½ years of the Bush administration! You have a choice to make these changes."
