In Duluth, unions will conduct their annual Martin Luther King Day celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center, 350 Harbor Dr. The event will include a march, rally and speakers.
On Tuesday, the St. Paul Regional Labor Federation will become a host site for Fare for All, a cost-saving food distribution program. "With all of the unemployment in our communities, we are excited to be a part of a program that will help people stretch their food purchasing power," said Community Services Liaison Lynne Larkin-Wright.
Fare for All will run from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the St. Paul Labor Centre, 411 Main St. For more information, contact Lynne at 651-222-3787.
