Immigrant rights activists from Minnesota and Connecticut with union and community allies held a press conference yesterday at the office of Senator Amy Klobuchar to support Nelson Pinos.

Pinos, a New York resident at the time, never received the court notification and a deportation order was issued in absentia.  According to Pinos, he was unaware of the deportation order.
