PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
Red River Valley / Minnesota Freedom Ride
The Labor Education Service documented this fall's massive harvest and processing of sugar beets in the Red River Valley along the Minnesota and North Dakota border. The show also features the October 2004 Minnesota Freedom Ride, when activists traveled throughout the state of Minnesota to publicize and support decent housing, fair workplaces, access to higher education and family reunification for immigrants.
Minnesota at Work 20th Anniversary Show
2004 marks the 20th anniversary of Minnesota at Work, the oldest continuously cablecast labor show in the United States. This compilation features excerpts from past programs, highlighting two decades of the state labor movement's people, events and issues.
