The new documentary WELLSTONE! will have its Iron Range premiere this Friday and Saturday at the Tacora Theater in Aurora.
Showings will be Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the theatre, located at 320 N. Main St. Admission is $6.
The Tacora, which features a state-of-the-art sound system and a cafe, is union-owned and operated by Dave Anderson.
WELLSTONE! tells the story of the late U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone, from his childhood through his upset victory in 1990 and career in Congress. The documentary also describes the legacy left by Wellstone and his wife, Sheila, after their untimely deaths in a plane crash two years ago.
WELLSTONE! was directed by Minnesota filmmakers Lu Lippold, Laurie Stern and Dan Luke, and produced by Hard Working Pictures. A filmmaker will be present for discussion after the screenings.
