Applications being sought for Union Advocate editor

Applications are being accepted through May 12 for individuals interested in becoming the next editor of The Union Advocate.

The editor has primary responsibility for writing, editing, photography, page layout and other duties in producing the newspaper, which generally is published twice a month. The position is covered by a contract with the Minnesota Newspaper Guild. Applicants should send a resume, cover letter, writing samples, and other relevant examples of their journalistic and union background to: Search Committee, The Union Advocate, 411 Main St., Room 202, St. Paul, MN 55102.

Michael Kuchta, who has been editor since August 2000, is leaving in June to fill the new position of communications coordinator for the Lakes and Plains Regional Council of Carpenters. He has been a frequent contributor to Workday Minnesota.
