Does Charlie Brown support unions? Only his late creator, Charles Schulz, knows for sure. But this statue of Charlie outside the Holiday Inn-Rivercentre in downtown St. Paul is a positive indication.

Minnesota AFL-CIO Communications Director Diane O'Brien took this photo during a protest by union members and supporters outside the hotel, which reopened non-union after being remodeled.

The Charlie Brown statues are located throughout St. Paul this summer as a way to commemorate Schulz, a St. Paul native. Last year's promotion featuring statues of Snoopy was very successful in drawing visitors and visibility.
