For the past 10 years, low-wage workers organizing with CTUL —Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en Lucha/Center for Workers United in Struggle— have won significant gains.
Come celebrate and support the cause at CTUL’s 10th anniversary gala, planned Friday, Oct. 6. The gala will take place from 5:30-9:30 p.m. at CTUL’s center for worker and community organizing, 3715 Chicago Ave. So. in Minneapolis.
In addition to a short presentation on the past year and a preview of what’s next, the event will feature music and dancing, food and drinks. In addition, CTUL’s new “Twin Cities Worker Solidarity Mural” will debut while CTUL’s first gallery show, “General Strike!” will close.
The art included in “General Strike!” — which includes the justice-focused work of both local and national artists —will be sold in a silent auction.
Individual tickets for the gala are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and include dinner and a seat at a table.
Five sponsorship levels, from $150 to $3,000 also are available.
For more information, or to purchase tickets or sponsorships, visit the CTUL website.
