The sixth annual pancake brunch fundraiser to benefit CTUL, a Minneapolis-based worker center, will be Sunday, March 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This year’s event will be the first pancake brunch at CTUL’s new Center for Worker and Community Organizing, 3715 Chicago Ave. South, Minneapolis. The suggested donation is $15 for the “all you can eat” brunch.
CTUL — Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en Lucha/Center of Workers United in Struggle — is a community affiliate of the Minneapolis Regional Labor Federation. Founded in 2007, CTUL has been organizing among retail janitors and fast food workers.
At the March 12 event, CTUL will launch its “Raise Workers’ Voices Campaign,” a campaign to take its organizing work to the next level by winning fair wages, fair working conditions, and a voice in the workplace with thousands of low-wage workers.
