Labor Day picnics are planned in St. Paul and Duluth on Monday, Sept. 4, to celebrate the holiday that honors working people.
In Duluth, festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fairmont Park, located near the Lake Superior Zoo. Activities include free food and games for the kids. The picnic is sponsored by the Duluth Central Labor Body, AFL-CIO.
The St. Paul celebration runs from noon to 5 p.m. at Highland Park. It also features free food and children's games and will include many information booths. The picnic is sponsored by the St. Paul Trades & Labor Assembly, AFL-CIO.
