Supporters of locked-out American Crystal Sugar workers will hold a rally and fundraiser Tuesday, Nov. 29, in South St. Paul.
The event runs from 6-8 p.m. at the UFCW Local 1189 Hall, 266 Hardman Ave. N., South St. Paul.
Some 1,300 members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco & Grain Millers union at plants in Minnesota, North Dakota and Iowa have been locked out since Aug. 1. Twice, they rejected language that would allow the employer to contract out their jobs and eventually bust the union.
Food and beverages will be provided. A donation will be requested at the door.
