"Join us on April 14 at the Minnesota State Capitol Mall as we gather to learn about positive solutions we can take as individuals and as a state that will reduce global warming pollution, create jobs, strengthen our state\'s economy, and improve our shared environment," organizers said.
Activities will include music by local bands, booths with resources and the opportunity "to create the world\'s largest footprint petition."
Speakers will include U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, Rep. Keith Ellison, Minnesota AFL-CIO President Ray Waldron, Sierra Club Executive Director Carl Pope, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and many others, organizers said.
The Day of Action has a long list of sponsors, including the Blue Green Alliance. The event is one of 1,225 planned on all 50 states, organizers said.
