Join in discussion on minimum wage

The program will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Cowles Auditorium, Humphrey School of Public Affairs, 301 19th Ave. S., Minneapolis. It is free and open to the public.

Panelists will include economists Ann Markusen, University of Minnesota; John Schmitt, Center for Economic and Policy Research; and Doug Hall, Economic Policy Institute. There will be ample opportunity for public Q and A.

The program is sponsored by the JOBS NOW Coalition and the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service. It happens as both the state and federal governments are considering proposals to increase the minimum wage.
