Organizing, arbitration and labor history are some of the topics of Union Leadership Academy classes offered this fall by the University of Minnesota Labor Education Service. In addition to courses, LES also will offer a book club and a Working Class Studies movie series.
LES, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is Minnesota's leading provider of training for workers and unions.
LES offers weekday evening classes and Saturday seminars on the Univeristy of Minnesota Twin Cities campus. The noncredit classes are open to all. Some unions offer scholarships for members.
