Labor Notes, an independent labor publication, is hosting a “Troublemakers School” on Saturday, March 18, at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul. The school will focus on strategies for addressing the challenges facing workers and communities.
Registration is available here.
“Join St. Paul and Minneapolis teachers, nurses, campus workers, janitors, and state employees for a day of strategizing and skills-building to strengthen our workers’ movement,” Labor Notes said in announcing the program. “Share your ideas and plan how we can fight back citywide and statewide against attacks on unions, immigrants, and our communities.”
Workshops will include grievance handling, “Secrets of a Successful Organizer,” fighting for racial justice and preparing for Right to Work.
The program starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Cost is $20, with a $10 option for students and low-wage workers.
