Her discussion takes place at 7 p.m. at Lyndale United Church of Christ, 810 W. 31st Street, Minneapolis.
Like her latest book, "Wage Theft in America," Bobo will discuss how businesses as monstrous as Wal-Mart and as small as neighborhood restaurants and residential contractors fail to pay workers for all the hours they work, fail to pay overtime, and sometimes even fail to pay minimum wage.
If this kind of theft were carried out on the street with a gun, the culprits would be behind bars. Instead it¹s done on an accounting spreadsheet but it¹s no less criminal.
Appearing with Bobo will be workers from the Twin Cities Interfaith Center for Worker Justice, who will tell their own stories about how they fought back against wage theft.
