Minneapolis Pops Orchestra presents free concerts

This summer marks the 65th year of free outdoor concerts presented by the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra. They run from June 28 through July 27.

The members of the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra all are members of Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 30-73. Throughout the year, these same musicians perform with some of the region’s top ensembles.

Beginning Saturday, June 28, the Minneapolis Pops will perform five weekends of free concerts at the Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis. Saturday evening concerts will be from 7:30-9 p.m. Sunday evening concerts will be from 5:30-7 p.m.

The Minneapolis Pops also will play four free mid-day concerts at the Nicollet Island Pavilion in Minneapolis July 1, 7, 16 and 21 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
