The Minnesota Orchestra will perform a free, one-hour outdoor concert Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 6 p.m. at the Commons in Minneapolis.
Developed in conjunction with the new Vikings football stadium, which it adjoins, the Commons is a new downtown park located between 4th St. So. and 5th St. So. and between Park Ave. and Portland Ave.
Music Director Osmo Vänskä will lead the Minnesota Orchestra musicians —who are members of Twin Cities Musicians Union Local 30-73. The program will include works from Smetana’s “The Moldau” to John Williams’ “March from Raiders of the Lost Ark” and will mark the Orchestra’s debut in Minneapolis’ newest park.
