National labor and employment relations conference in Minneapolis in May

Register now for the 68th Annual Meeting of the Labor and Employment Relations Association May 26-29, at the Millennium Hotel in Minneapolis.

LERA is a unique professional association that brings together leading academics, unionists and worker advocates, public and private sector managers, and neutrals interested in all aspects of labor and employment relations.

The conference will feature more than 90 sessions, including a breakfast speech by Tefere Gebre (the dynamic executive vice president of the AFL-CIO), sessions on developing union power through community campaigns, bargaining for anti-bullying language and many other stimulating events. There will also be a planning meeting to launch a local LERA chapter that would host speakers or workshops several times a year for labor relations professionals from all sides of the table.

Two pre-conference workshops will be held May 25 on “Addressing Contemporary Workplace Tensions and Conflicts” and “Unions and Internal Organizing.”

Attendees can register for one day or the entire conference. Early bird registration ends March 25. Registration details and the full conference agenda are here.
