Nurses at Buffalo Hospital reach tentative agreement

Nurses employed at Buffalo Hospital and represented by the Minnesota Nurses Association reached a tentative agreement with Allina Health, averting the need for a planned informational picket.

“Allina Health saw that nurses were united in opposition to a proposed scheduling system, and agreed to changes,” said MNA Buffalo Chair Debra Kosciolek, RN. “Nurses negotiated a fair contract that allows us to continue providing patients with the care they need and expect.”

A tentative contract agreement was reached July 27, leading the nurses to cancel the informational picket scheduled for Aug. 2.

Details of the agreement will be shared with members, who will vote on it Aug. 2, the union said.
