The rally will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at Rochester Recreation Center, (Upper Parking Lot), 21 Elton Hills Dr.
"We, the drivers of the city buses in Rochester, work for a company called Rochester City Lines that has a contract with the city to provide transit services in Rochester," the workers said in announcing the event. "We have been organizing ourselves to demand a voice on the job by forming a union.
"Our struggle is about fairness, respect and dignity on the job for everyone. Please join us in solidarity as we begin to tell the community about our struggle."
Supporters of the organizing effort include the Southeast Central Labor Council and Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1005.
