The first in a series of monthly seminars for women interested in the Building Trades will take place Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Minnesota Women's Building, 550 Rice St., St. Paul.
The seminars are sponsored by Women in the Trades, a nonprofit organization serving women in nontraditional occupations. The seminars answer questions and provide an overview, including information about apprenticeships, on-the-job and other training, educational and community resources, the job market, and the benefits and barriers of working in fields where women are under-represented.
Registration is required; the deadline is Jan. 18. Call 651-228-9955 to make a reservation.
