Primary elections will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, in communities across Minnesota.
The elections will narrow down the list of candidates that will appear on the General Election ballot Nov. 8. Minneapolis and St. Paul, for example, will be choosing the final two candidates for mayors in those cities. Minneapolis also has a primary for City Council and several other offices, St. Paul for School Board.
In general, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find your polling location, visit the Secretary of State's website, www.sos.state.mn.us
