At 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, three members of Amalgamated Transit Union 1005 kept watch sitting next to a burn barrel at a Metro Transit building maintenance facility at N. 7th St. and Oak Lake Ave. in Minneapolis: Left to right: Marcus Hagen, a mechanic for seven years and driver for eight years: Steve Dick, a mechanic for five years; Mike West, a driver for two years. “We’re staying warm,” Dick said, joking that “next time I’m thinking of bringing the satellite dish.”
