Union sets up memorial fund for window cleaner killed on the job

The 52-year-old was clearing away ice and snow when he crashed through the Plexiglas roof of the center\’s Crystal Court and fell about three stories to his death, media and police reported.

Local 26 said Sanchez-Flores had begun working for Columbia Building Services last spring and had become active in the union. Last month, he participated in a convention of window cleaners and security officers to set goals for contract negotiations.
