The Consortium has been funded since 1987 by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences to develop, present and evaluate model worker training programs to help employers comply with OSHA regulations. The consortium is part of the Centers for Public Health Education and Outreach, which promotes lifelong learning to bridge academic and public health practice communities.
