About 30 students marched on Morrill Hall last Friday and delivered letters from more than 300 students demanding the university live up to its Trademark Licensee Code of Conduct that says, “Licensees shall recognize and respect the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining.”
The administration said it had written to the company and was awaiting a response. According to a blog hosted by United Students Against Sweatshops, 11 other schools have already cut their contracts with the company.
