WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price, a newly released documentary about the giant retailer, is being shown by two labor organizations this week in the Twin Cities.
The University of Minnesota Labor Education Service will sponsor a free screening of the film Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in Room 125 of Willey Hall, 225 19th Ave. S., on the West Bank of the university's Minneapolis campus. The screening is free and open to the public.
United Food and Commercial Workers Local 789 will hold a free screening of the film Friday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. at their union hall, 266 Hardman Ave. N., South St. Paul. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be provided.
Filmmaker Robert Greenwald says the documentary takes viewers on "an extraordinary journey that will challenge the way you think, feel -- and shop."
