Wal-Mart film kicks off Labor & Community Film Series

WAL-MART: The High Cost of Low Price, a newly released feature film, takes you behind the glitz and into the real lives of workers and their families, business owners and their communities.

The University of Minnesota Labor Education Service will sponsor a free screening of the film Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in Room 125 of Willey Hall, 225 19th Ave. S., on the West Bank of the university’s Minneapolis campus.

The LES screening is one of 3,000 scheduled across all 50 states during the film’s premier week. It’s also the kick-off event for the LES-sponsored 2005-2006 Labor & Community Film Series.(The next film, The Take, is scheduled for Dec. 7 — stay tuned to Workday Minnesota for full details).
